I was nervous speaking at Knowledge Gate International School in Oman. I had never been to the Middle East and wasn’t sure what the culture was like.

The principal told me that teens in Oman are respectful, family oriented, but could use some inspiration to work harder. I took her words to heart and adjusted the speech to her students.

In the speech, I referred to the Koran, included stories from successful Middle Eastern people, such as Hussain Sajwani,  one of the top 10 billionaires in the Arab world. Hussain Sajwani represented the perfect example of how hard work and faith will help you to become successful.

FROM THE KORAN (Surah al-Najm, 53:39):

And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives.

And that his effort is going to be seen

Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense

It went phenomenally. I can’t wait to get back to Muscat, Oman!
